Born February 10, 1919 at Cohasset, Minnesota, later moving to Winnipeg, where he met and married Dorothy Curwain, his wife for 49 years and who predeceased him August of this year. Mel was a Winnipeg Transit Driver for several years, later working at C.P. Railway until his retirement. He will be sadly missed by his sister Mae, several nieces and nephews and many friends. Cremation has taken place according to his wishes. A memorial service will be held at Kerrs Funeral Chapel, 120 Adelaide St., on Wednesday, September 13, at 11:00 a.m. If friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
